Hole 12 - "Golden Bell"
The 12th, "Golden Bell," is the heart of Amen Corner, the stretch of holes named by writer Herbert Warren Wind in 1958 that has decided more Masters than any other part of the course. Rae's Creek runs right in front of the green, and it has swung the tournament both ways: Sam Snead's water save here in 1949 sparked his win, while Jordan Spieth's quadruple bogey on this same green in 2016, finding the creek twice, cost him a two-stroke lead and the championship. No hole at Augusta punishes a bad swing, or rewards a good one, quite like this.
Historic Moments on the 12th
- 1937: Byron Nelson makes birdie-eagle on the 12th and 13th during the final round, part of the charge that overtook Ralph Guldahl to win his first Masters.
- 1949: Sam Snead's water save at the 12th sparks the charge that carries him to victory.
- 1988: Sandy Lyle's tee shot hits the bank and rolls back into Rae's Creek for a double bogey, yet he still goes on to win the Masters that same afternoon, holing from a bunker on the 18th.
- 2016: Jordan Spieth finds Rae's Creek twice on the 12th for a quadruple bogey, turning a two-stroke lead into the loss of his title.
- 2019: Francesco Molinari's tee shot comes up short and rolls into Rae's Creek, the moment that opened the door for Tiger Woods's comeback win — four other players in the final groups found the same water that same afternoon.
More Than Just a Golf Print
Augusta National only opens its gates for a handful of members and their guests each year, for most golfers playing it is closer to a dream than a plan. Amen Corner is the stretch every golf fan can picture without ever having stood there.
That's why this print means more than most gifts. It isn't just a picture of a hole, it's the Masters Sunday tradition, the golf-mad relative who never misses a minute of it, or the round someone will only ever play in their head.
Personalized for Their Round
Every print can include a personalized message, so it can read exactly like the day it's marking, not a generic caption.
Add their name, the date they played, their score, who they played with, a favourite memory from the round, or anything else worth remembering.
A Gift They'll Actually Keep
Good for birthdays, retirement, Father's Day, Christmas, Captain's Day, society prizes, or any round worth remembering.
Unlike most golf gifts, it doesn't end up in a drawer, it ends up on a wall.
