A Few of Our Favourite Holes (and the Stories Behind Them)

At Mymo, every hole has a story and since the turn of the year, we’ve had the privilege of bringing some truly memorable ones to life. Here are just a few of our recent favourites.

"I Live Next to the 18th Green”

For Jonathan, Worplesdon 18th

When we announced our partnership with the iconic Surrey club, Jonathan reached out with a special request. He lives just 65 yards from the 18th green and asked if we could include his house in the design. Naturally, we obliged — a personal touch on a classic hole.

“Forrrrrrre Right!”  

For Max, The Old Course - 17th 

Max ordered a piece of the legendary Road Hole at St Andrews with just one caption: "Forrrrrrre right!" Intrigued, we asked why. Turns out, Max was -3 through 16, standing on the 17th tee, when the group behind him shouted mid-swing. Distracted, he sent his tee shot into the hotel garden. A moment worth remembering (if not repeating).

Hole-in-One History

For Stuart & Random Golf Club, Cape Kidnappers - 8th 

Stuart’s first ever ace was caught on camera by the crew at Random Golf Club, making it the first-ever “Ace Cam” moment. Naturally, we turned it into a Mymo — a perfect way to mark a once-in-a-lifetime shot. You can see his perfect shot here

“Permission at JCB”

 For Tom, JCB Golf & Country Club - 17th 

Tom asked his future father-in-law for permission to marry his now wife at JCB Golf & Country Club. He swears he didn’t leave the big question until the 17th hole — he just loved it from a memorable, life-changing round. We believe him… kind of.

"None of Them. He’s Rubbish.”

Neil, Kirkintilloch Golf Club - 18th 

When they asked Neil’s golf mates to name his best hole, their answer was brutally honest: “None of them. He’s rubbish on every hole.” So naturally, they chose the 18th, the finish line of another heroic struggle. What are friends for?
